I would like to have that motorola, if you want to part with it--wanted one for over 30 years now. If you can hold it for awhile--I'll come for it.

Motorola would be lightweight , no power transformer and no wooden cabinet.

I see it has the 23EGP22 CRT. A real loser set.
Turn around quietly and quickly walk away.
Believe me. I've worked on a ton of those things. They are pigs are not worth the time nor trouble.

There was nothing to go wrong with that set. The ETS908 was overbuilt.
28 tubes and they used them all. Standard old time 6BK4 HV regulator. 1V2 focus, frame grid tubes in the IF.
I bought a set like that for my parents. They ran it, for like 10 years, until the original 23EG got too weak. Still had the original horizontal output tubes.
Milwaukee has long winters, so it was used quite a bit.

thats what thought when i looked over that moto , all plywood cabinet, chassie looked layed out pretty good different from what im used to so far to but nicely done ,the sylvania iv been looking for, any 19 inch or smaller tube chassie color tv ,there getting hard to find around here ,probley because they were easyer to just throw them away back in the day ,unlike getting rid of a console tv it was easyer to just move it to the basement or back room and forget about it .

Regarding the Motorola: they quit building that chassis in early 1966 and went to the TS914, which was a lot simpler and not quite as reliable. It had that wonderful 6LE8 color circuit, that others used as well.
That circuit wasn't very desirable but it was still better than the crystal ringer circuit that GE used.

Both nice, seldom seen sets, especially nowadays, in my opinion. Best of luck with your restorations, please keep us posted! :-) :-)
