I would like to have that motorola, if you want to part with it--wanted one for over 30 years now. If you can hold it for awhile--I'll come for it.

Motorola would be lightweight , no power transformer and no wooden cabinet.

I see it has the 23EGP22 CRT. A real loser set.
Turn around quietly and quickly walk away. Believe me. I've worked on a ton of those things. They are pigs are not worth the time nor trouble. Last edited by reeferman; 07-28-2013 at 11:33 PM. |

28 tubes and they used them all. Standard old time 6BK4 HV regulator. 1V2 focus, frame grid tubes in the IF. I bought a set like that for my parents. They ran it, for like 10 years, until the original 23EG got too weak. Still had the original horizontal output tubes. Milwaukee has long winters, so it was used quite a bit. |

That circuit wasn't very desirable but it was still better than the crystal ringer circuit that GE used. |

Both nice, seldom seen sets, especially nowadays, in my opinion. Best of luck with your restorations, please keep us posted! :-) :-)
