Here's most of what I ended up coming home with. Combining with the radio meet actually worked out pretty well....all of us ended up coming home with a lot of nice stuff, and I think we all left the meet with more cash in our pockets than when we left.

Here's my haul:

62 RCA 19" B&W portable with the original stand
72 Zenith 12" B&W with an unusual hybrid chassis
Both more or less work.

Two 7" Motorolas - the wood set with the partial cabinet is a parts set for the bakelite model (which is supposed to have a bad IF transformer.) The bakelite cabinet is in great condition - it needs a back though. I haven't checked the 7JP4s yet.

The 14" rectangular Motorola in the bakelite cabinet was one of the ones the museum was selling. It was missing the power transformer, but after looking around in a pile of tubes and parts near the set, I actually found it It's missing all the tubes (which I probably have), knobs (which I might have), and back (which I don't have). The cabinet is faded, but it's not scratched up or cracked.

I haven't tested either of the radios yet. The Zenith TO is in nice condition, but missing the wavemagnet antenna. The bakelite Zenith is missing the knobs (which I thought I had in one of my knob boxes, but can't find) and the back. The cabinet is otherwise in nice condition, no cracks or scratches.

Actually, it's a bad IF coil. I realized that you're missing the solid state ballast tube I built for it....I left it on my desk here. Toss me your address when you get time and I'll send it to you

Did you get a Sam's 522 yet? I have one here and will check tomorrow to be sure it is a duplicate. I think it is. I just got it today and If it is a duplicate I will send it to you. If it is not a duplicate I can scan it for you.

I sure do Bill. The set is a KCS132. Ill post some pic later but I never saw an RCA BW console like it.

That is a great radio there. I got a white one for $14 at a local antique store, with a chip out of the back. When I recapped and aligned the RF-IF, it was so good I use in my basement shop.

I just checked and this is indeed a duplicate. PM me a mailing address and I will get it off to you if you want it.

Yes Virginia, there is such a tube like the 50FE5. It's used in a lower end Zenith Stereo console. It looks like a slightly higher output 50L6.
ESRC in Florida has them for $3.00 each. I bought a bunch of those odd-ball 18 volt tubes for a buck each.
