FS: Anyone need a working CTC 16 chassis

Considering parting out a CTC 16 with a rough cabinet. CRT very weak but the chassis made HV, full width horizontal sweep. Vertical lacked about two inches filling the screen at the bottom. Will sell all or part. PM me with needs.

How weak is the CRT? I have a set with a necked crt so even a weak one would be an improvment.

One gun filament was burned out and I gave it to another collector about a year ago who had room and time to hold onto it for eventual rebuild.

Comes with VHF & UHF tuners and convergence panel. The set was working as noted in the original post. $50 plus shipping cost for everything including the metal front panel and knobs. CRT was removed and given away about a year ago. I've got a photo of the set if you'll send an email address.

A CTC 16 being shipped via Fedex? I can see that running into $200 or more.. Why don't you just hire a mover that you would be able to contact directly? A CTC 16 is something that's a bit too big for a common carrier like that.. I can see it getting damaged.. I would like to see pics of this set.. But then afain I just read the part that it's going to be parted out.. So never mind that..

The CRT mask measures 28x20 which may put it in the dimensional weight category. The chassis will definitely fall in the same category. It weighs in at 32 pounds and measures approximately 27x16x12 with the tuner mounted in the service position. I'll take the chassis extension with the four controls loose and secure it in order to keep the box size to a minimum and still protect everything. Using these measurements chassis shipping comes to $34.59. This is likely to go up some once the box is measured and weighed.

Using the CRT mask measurements shipping comes to $29.83. This will likely change once the box is weighed and measured. Since neither one is packed this is the closest I can get until I get the right size boxes.

Based on these numbers with the understanding that it will change some do you still want to pursue this?

Thanks,
Rick
