FS - Zenith color roundie Minneapolis

Weekend find - saved from being trashed. Was a local one owner set. Seems to be complete. Don't have CRT tester. No legs. Cabinet is worn on top but not trashed. Needs a good home! Local pickup would be nice. Could hold for a few weeks (not months). Set is HEAVY. First $50 takes it.

Just added some more pictures. Set is 29JC20. Chassis seems complete but dirty. Looks like a replacement CRT - see pic of tag on CRT.

Could you post the chassis #? I'm interested (especially if it is their first color chassis as I think it may be), but the soonest I could get there is in around 5 weeks...College keeps me too busy to make that kind of trek except during break weeks, and my soonest one is about 5 weeks away.

Post and last picture says it is a 29JC20. I would jump on it if it were here.

Nice save, Gary. Doesn't that look like a newer style cloverleaf?

Since it is a 29JC20 I definitely want it. If you can wait until my break week which starts on or before (if I don't have any Friday finals) 5 weeks and 3 days from now, then I will make sure to show up.

That is NOT the original tube--I wonder if it is an RE tube? And no that is NOT the original cloverleaf either. It looks more like a chromacolor one The original ones ALWAYS crack.

Someone is going to be QUITE pleased with this set. It would have been ME_-if it ws not so damn far away !!

Ok Tom the set is yours!

I will store the set for the time that you've requested. If things don't work out there was another VK member in line.

Great!
Let me know if you want me to pay you in the way that I offered in my reply to your PM.
Also, in about 4 - 4.5 weeks if I have not contacted you about the approximate pick up date and time please send me a PM.

You traded a fine example of Zenith's first production consumer color chassis...I probably would have kept it if I was in your shoes, but then again my love of Zenith products is such that I save Zeniths newer than some sets I'd leave on the curb.

Congratulations, Tom. Nice score.

Gary, thanks for putting me in the pecking order. Wasn't exactly what I was looking for, but the price sure was tempting. Glad Tom got it, he's more likely to get it working soon. For me it would just have been placed in the queue behind well over 100 other projects.

Jim
