Often bad electrolytics can blow a vert out IC so best also
to change all in the output. Also be sure the B+ is right,
either +30 VDC or +15 & -15 VDC roughly. I have put
caps in these for small pix but not IC's.

For general info the Atlanta station on cable WTBS ? was
the only one I knew of sending teletext. It was a newspaper
& had regular updates of stock reports. No pictures just
text. Also trucking co's used it to find drivers, rigs etc for
runs. Dont know how long it lasted before the internet
took its place. At the time it had a big wow factor & was
worth having just to show to customers.
Also on the e-bay listing you can see the built in hookup
page that walked you through different hookups. IIRC
they added that the 2nd year of DS3, wasnt on the first year sets.

To ME_-they are NOT at ALL desirable. But to some here--maybe they are.

My grandmother bought a lower end set similar to this back in 1990, the plain cable ready with the green digits.. It lasted to around 2001 or so before problems developed and was kicked to the curb.. They put off nice pictures.. I also found a high end model sorta like this somewhere in 2008-09 on the roadside curb that had a tinted glass front that ended up shattering into millions of pieces.. I didn't want to throw the set away, so I ended up giving it to someone and I think they just tossed it away.. Anything I would put into my collection? Nope!!
