TV's Sale or Trade

Bought the contents of a tv shop recently. It had been closed for a number of years after the owner's death. Thus, the tv's in there are vintage. Is there any interest in these? I have more pictures, and a few Setchell-Carlsons, as well as a SC test jig that is in pretty good condition. This is just a sample.

It would have to be local pickup in Southwest Louisiana.

Would you please share some detailed pictures of the SC test jig?

Thanks.

If you were in my neck of the woods I'd be trying to buy that SC test set off of ya.

Thanks for the ad, Kevin. I've bought and sold a lot of S-C stuff over the years, but never seen one of these.

A few years back I sold off a hundred or so N.O.S. S-C TV modules. Now I wish I had them back and one of these jigs to play with.

Of course I don't know what I'd do with it, probably just leave it in storage like all the other stuff I thought was neat the day I bought them.

I liked the quality of construction of S-C products, but their color sets were, for the most part, RCA clones. Before solid state sets became common, S-C quit building consumer TV's.
I worked on a few, their performance was nothing special. They didn't even keep up with styling trends. The knobs and cabinet styles, looked like the private label sets, built for the large retailers.
Reminds me of the Checker automobiles.

A Checker Marathon wagon could hold a lot of TVs and radios!

Thanks for the help, Kevin! I still have a few modules, transformers, and such for SC's, if anyone is interested. I think I have a buyer for the jig, so it is off the market. I appreciate your thoughts here.

I am interested in the set in the second picture. PM me with details and your asking price. I'm just south of Houston so it would be a quick trip for me to pick it up.
