Fireflite,

Just wanted to let you know that after Tim's work on the Admiral and a few smaller repairs by me, it has been up and running and watched almost daily by me at my home in MD, outside Washington, DC. Has been a reliable "daily driver" for me. Love this set!

I watched the 2013 MLB All-Star game on it and wondered when the last time the set showed an All-Star game live? Would you know any history of the set? Was it in your family since new? Do you know when the set may have last worked or any other history of it?

It has found a good home and will be maintained and used.

Here are two YouTube videos of the set working recently.

THANKS!!!

That looks really good, you guys did a great job getting this one going. It's interesting how much the CRT surround resembles a Crosley, I've never seen an Admiral with that type surround. What is the CRT type in this model? I'm curious, because last week I picked up a model 29X26N(chassis 24F1) Admiral with a bad 19AP4. Considering the rarity of good 19AP4's, I'm considering retrofitting a 21" rectangular tube behind the double D mask in my set.

I think that is what I love about the set, that surround.
