I love how some of these things hit a brick wall like a drunk driver in K Mart.

I still have it, and no one has claimed it yet. The weather sure did take a bad beating to this TV for 11 days now, and it may be disintegrating soon because our user "kx250rider" (Charles) FAILED to pick it up and protected it on the first day when I created this thread. Blame it on him, this TV looks like it may not be functional anymore, or it doesn't turn on. We just had some rain yesterday, and the TV is currently being flooded with water underneath it. Chassis may be gone, but picture tube may stil be good since it's higher from the ground.

Let me know if no one wants to pick it up at all because of water and rain or it's too ugly, and I will dump it to e-waste immediately.

Well, all blame aside, it's not much of a loss in the grand scheme of things. I watched ctc17 pick-axe dozens of sets in better shape than that one.

Yea and he still hasnt done anything with that space either. Grrrr. Lots of those had dead crts, but some of those sets were NOS too. Whatever, all of us involved spent a ton of time and money and did the absolute best we could to save them.

Sounds like there is no taker or interest anymore, so e-waste dump it goes. I should have known better than waiting.

Because there is no one else to help me, when I unload it from my truck bed, I will push it down and drop it 5 feet to the ground.

I'm sure all the young folks in my neighborhood would love to see this event. 99.9% of people don't care about a broken 1973 TV at all.

THREAD IS NOW CLOSED...

Remember folks...in the end it's just a TV. I love 'em too, and have more than my share. But they're not worth getting despondent over

unhappy to say so, but i fear the chromacolor 600x with the 25dc56 chassis i found a few months ago will end up at a recycler also - the set works but, thanks to the instant on, it has a weak crt and i have no desire to change it out - i am over ran with sets as it is and would really like to reclaim my man cave!!!

if someone would like it, i would GLADLY donate the chassis and any other parts for the cost of shipping
