That's a fantastic find, both for the great price and the sheer beauty. It's sad to know there are people that would gut it for parts in a heartbeat, ignoring its real value as a pristine piece of vintage tech.
I wonder who imported it, if they realized the complication with the phonograph and the line frequency, how much it cost to buy and ship originally, etc., etc. Finding something that neat and rare, in such an unexpected place, just opens up all kinds of additional questions.
Anyway, congratulations on the acquisition.
