CTC10? in Cincinnati also 16" B&W

I have been contacted by a Woman in Cincinnati - specifically in College Hill.

She has a couple sets she'd like to sell, one is a nice looking RCA 16" from 1950, the other is an RCA Color set, it's a 10 called "The Darcy" from 1961 as best I can determine from Ed Reitans Site.

Contact me if you are interested and I'll put you in touch.

those are definite savers. The color set looks more like a 9. I don't think I've ever seen a 10 with the knobs on the side of the cabinet before.

but then again, there is alot I haven't seen before at my age

Hi Jordan, I thought so too but the closest match I could find was this 10 called The Darcy on Reitans Site:

ah, I suppose the brochure doesn't lie!

I like the older mask and styling that proclaims C O L O R on the bottom of the mask.

On page 108 of the RCA Field Service Guide "RCA Color-TV Receivers 1955-1966", The Darcy (211CD87xx) is shown as a CTC9A or B.

EDIT... Found this on Ed Reitans site:

"Two additional mystery models are identified in the 1966 "RCA Field Service Guide for 1955-1966 RCA Color TV Receivers" (ERT-200) as having a CTC9A,B chassis. These are the "Gibson" (211-CD-87C4 in genuine maple) and the "Darcy" (211-CD-875,6, or 7 - in mahogany, walnut or oak). However, the "211" prefix used in these model numbers corresponds to sets using the CTC10 and CTC11 chassis - and the "C" used in the "Gibson" model is inconsistent with any standard model numbering. It is not known if these two sets were some type of a mid-year bridge between CTC9 and CTC10 models. I would like to hear from anyone owning the "Gibson" or "Darcy" to confirm if the CTC9 chassis was actually used in these models."

So is it a 9 or 10?
