ETF Convention For Sale/Swap Thread: 2016

Yes, I realize that we're six weeks out of the meet, but I figured we might as well get the ball rolling!

I'm getting excited already!

Anyway, I do this every year, for those of us who'd like to pre-sell our stuff or list for sets or parts wanted. Please feel free to list your wants, stuff for sale, or transport needed here

mini console

Nobody laugh. But I would like to get my hands on a mini console. The ones that most folks think are salesman samples... But obviously they're not. Looking for one that works and in decent shape... But not willing to pay Crazy Prices like people think they are worth on ebay just because they think they are "salesmen samples" and "unbelievably rare". If somebody plans to have or trade one... Tim said he could bring it back after the convention. Or I can work something out with shipping. Thanks!

Here's what I'm looking for

1. Bought one!

2. Suitcase Tele-Tone 7"

3. Motorola 7" set. Got talked out of the one I had and now I miss it

4. RCA 630TS

5. Bought one!

6. 1940s Garod

Added:

Big boxes of loose untested tubes. If you want to get rid of boxes of loose tubes cheap, I'll buy em!

Ideally, I'd like to pay for the set via PayPal, and just pick it up at the meet

I was bidding on one of those at the convention last year. It was an RCA in the silent auction. I figured I could make it my daughter's "1st vintage tv." I ended up getting handily outbid in the end. I would love to find one again some day...I won't be attending the convention this year so if you find one there I won't be competing for it.

I may bring my 12LP4 to sell or trade. It tested good, but has been in storage. I will have to get it out and test it. I don't have a TV to put it in. May bring some of my small transistor sets. Will be in the small car so I can't do anything large.

Since I just fixed my flatty Avanti(film @ 11), I no longer need my ugly 25" non-Avanti flat chassis set as a parts source. It was working till the safety caps went and the HV connector began arcing to the yoke. If no one shows interest in it before the meet I'll part it out.

I've got a beat to hell mostly working non-slide control d16 I'd consider selling if the price is right.

I plan to post later with pictures of sets I'd consider bringing.

Done ANYONE here...have a sylvania E-01 or E-02 set?

Or an admiral M20 chassis set?

or a 1955 Arvin BW with the TE 379 or TE 382 chassis? (Sams 266--folder 2)

or An RCA Direct address CTC 81 or ctc-74 set? I have THREE remotes I think...but no SET.

I will very likely have THIS for sale at the ETF auction...unless someone here gets it first. EVERYONE here knows what this is....

It does NOT work...unless "white noise in audio but NO raster" is considered working. I have NOT really played with it much...except for a cursory check...could NOT find much voltage on the base of that CRT_-which is not much larger in diameter than a CIGARETTE !! Because of that...I am MORE than a "little afraid" to really dig into this set--and will pass it onto someone else--if a deal can be made. I suspect it is FULL of bad capacitors--like ALL of these have...

This has a case in which it fits nicely, likely not original, and accys, such as ac and dc adaptors.

Might be able to find them for you, but I know sets more by picture than by chassis numbers. Got any shots of the sets you want?
