That's funny. An Audiophile would not be caught playing a cracked, worn copy of "Stayin' Alive" on that thing. I actually owned a record player like that and it is a cheaper, tinny sounding model. Mine used a single IC for an amp and probably put out 1/4 of a watt of power. And, I don't think they'll get that kind of money. Most school districts that I know anything about usually auction these off in pallets and they usually don't bring over a few dollars for the whole pallet.

Nice! I just bought a brand new (still sealed) Sheffield Direct-to-disk recording off of the 'bay... guess I should get a player like this to "break it in" properly.

Audiophiles particularly love it when you allow the needle (Stylus would be stretching it for this one) to drag across the turntable and come to rest on the spindle.
