Wow, this really rocks....

I've been reading posts for months, raving about the 8-tube, H845 Zenith table sets. Although I've tried (and failed) to purchase or make the winning bid on several units, I finally scored one on eBay for $10.00. Considering how the radio works (exceptionally) that truly is a steal!

Cosmetically, the radio is about 80%. It came from Maine (to AZ) rattling around loose in an oversize box. How it arrived in one piece I'll never know. The wood cabinet and plastic front was covered in filth; which looked like a combination of cooking grease and dirt. I spent over two hours working between the grill ribs and still don't think I've gotten all of it yet. Nasty. Before cleaning I gently brushed the chassis then blew it out with a soft stream of compressed air. Everything felt and looked solid, so I closed it up and twisted the knob. Awesome! With 50 watts of power (and a hooking 8" speaker! Plus tweeter...) this thing really has presence. Good reception, but I'll have to attach a suitable antenna once I figure out where it's going to live.

One request: Does anyone here have a channel selector knob that'll fit this? I've included a pic, which looks to be a pretty standard 1/4" D-shaped shaft.
