ITV on high band had 15 regional companies, they often showed different programs to each other so if you lived in an overlap area you could receive 3 (4 when BBC2 fired up) programs. They'd all come together as a network for big budget programs like Coronaton Street & Sunday Night At The London Palladium. I could receive ATV midlands on ch 8, Yorkshire TV on ch 10 & Anglia TV on ch 7, ch's 10 & 7 were a bit snowy but watchable if you screwed your eyes up. Ch 8 (ATV) was crystal clear though. Nowadays all ITV programs are the same all over the country except for local news opt outs & the odd regional programs...
