iCraig AM/FM/iPod dock radio with wrong AM IF filter

This is a radio that looks like a knockoff of a Trivoli radio. It has a digital readout of the tuned radio station. Which is really just the frequency of the local oscillator (just an ordinary free running LC circuit) minus the IF freq. Seemed that on AM I had to dial up a displayed frequency that was about 5KHz higher than the station's real frequency. This radio had a ceramic filter, 455KHz, but I tried substituting one of 450KHz, and doing this got the displayed frequency more accurate.

Seems the manufacturer somewheres in China ran out of the proper filters, and just substituted the wrong filter, figuring most users wouldn't notice the frequency being off.
