I prefer the mid-70s to mid-80s compacts and subcompacts, my favorite being the base model 1981-82 Mercury Lynx (re-badged Ford Escort) 2-door in medium blue metallic with medium wedgewood blue interior and a 4-speed. In all seriousness, if I were to get one I would install one of my factory 8-track stereos, another unusual love of mine. My current avatar is an old pic of me next to a 1984 Lynx.
