The latest issue I've noticed is not only is the aspect ratio squeezed, but the picture quality has gotten awful. This is the case with BBC comedies such as most Are You Being Served episodes but recently it has happened with Keeping Up Appearances as well.

Now, I had always noticed the colors always looked better in the final season of Keeping Up Appearances, I think it had to do with the cameras they used, they seemed more vibrant and a clearer picture, but the earlier seasons never looked this bad before.

The colors all have a whitish hue to them and with the aspect ratio, it makes it look like a very old film. I'm not sure if the media has aged or something or due to an equipment change but it looks as if the series was filmed in the 60s or 70s now, not the 90s.

I don't really watch As Time Goes By, but from what I've seen it doesn't have this issue at least as far as colors.
