I just junked out an old Philco M8 Changer from 1946 that was installed in a 46-1203 radio that I couldn't get the tuner up and running on. That spindle is just held into the platter by a setscrew and that's it which is probably why it got lost on yours.

I am interested in that since the 48-1282 has a good changer and cartridge
