Gee whiz, Sandy, I'm older than you! In 1968 I had my paper route, and a 6V sealed beam headlamp on my bike. I used to marvel at the reflectors all shiny and new back then when I shined the light on them, PLUS Washington State had just switched to reflectorized plates! I would visit the stop-n-go by the park and buy a giant "psychedelic bubble gum", which was several dozen pieces of multi-colored gum pressed in to the exact same shape as a Salvo detergent tablet - remember them?
