In the '70's a Zenith 23" Zenith was about $500 IIRC Adding remote, 25"and a solid state chassis was about $200 more. Weight probably about 125 LBS.
Mimimum wage was about $2 / hour before taxed. Thats abt 9 weeks of
work BEFORE taxes. Needless to say a big TV was a MAJOR purchise that
was carefully done even by someone that made a lot more.
Now minimum wage is $10 +- depending on state. An apx 24" TV
I think is about $120 or about 12 hrs of work before taxes.
