Not having recently looked at pictures of the inductuner mech, the impression I get from the mech is that the dial/knob is connected to the tuner shaft via gearing, and the retainer for the knob shaft is damaged.....If I push it in and turn it feels like I'm engaging gummy gears. I can get some gear grinding feel/noise if the shaft is not pushed in correctly when turning.
