Good Grief! The box is worth more than the VCR but the box stays with the VCR. I sure don't know why the U82 isn't one of the exalted models. It's the only consumer VCR with piezo moving heads and two thirds slow motion.

Yes I have he user manual and the service manual.

I even bot a NEW head/drum when I bot the VCR just in case I wore the old head out.

VCR all of a sudden would not turn on. Is a repair project I may never get to (in the meantime I've scrounged 3 different JVC SVHS ET machines). Had a JVC 30000 DVHS I sold and still have my 40000 which something went wrong in - don't remember since decades ago. The 30k apparently did not have 5C while the 40k does. Should have kept the 30k and sold the 40k. Bot both new clearanced at Best Buy or Comp USA.

I have a few tapes I want to rip and then bye bye to all video tape stuff.
