Yes, I own a nice collection of vintage japanese TV sets, incl. 5 roundies.
But I sell nothing of it, the japanes market is empty.
50s sets, just the sets up to about 1958 are hard to find, mostly knobs
are missing (a japanese desease) and "hightowers" of mice.
I had a good friend in Japan who bought me these rare stuff over many years.
What I know is that I shouldn`t find them ever again, so no sale.
As a foreigner it is impossible to buy in Japan from internet-sites.
Japan is still a closen country.
My former friend never wanted to talk to other collectors that he ships
collector sets out of the country.
A boss of a japanese collector club never wanted to help me to get
some schematics for radios and TVs I bought.
I have to say that he was the most unfriendly person I ever met in the
collector scene.
So I bought old literature, including schematics, sales literature, manuals,
radio mags to learn more about radio and television in Japan.
SORRY, BUT I CANNOT READ THE JAPANESE LETTERS!
I don`t own the 14" Sharp you are looking for. I own 2 mid 50s 17" Sharp consoles
which are not for sale.
Sharp never sold roundies to the public, they were too modern.
The sets were unusual expensive, sold in low numbers up to the mid 50s.

I own three T-2 Leningrad sets, but I couldn`t decide to sell number 3.
Because of the actual political situation in Germany I can`t decide to
sell it for money, gold or a swap against a yard in Switzerland.

C
Last year I hit country number 25.

That was my email that I sent through the forum. I had no idea it would be sent anonymously. I also didn't see this reply when you posted it, I just sort of stumbled upon it right now...lucky I guess . Anyway thank you for the answers to my questions. You are lucky to have 5 roundies from Japan, especially given the difficulties you described in getting them.
