"This is an auction for a vintage Motorola 21CT2 Color TV Consolette. The set has a blonde finish cabinet, and the legs are included. Unfortunately, the CRT is neck is broken, but it had a brightener on it so it may have been DOA anyway. Cabinet is in decent shape, all knobs present. There is a small round chip on the safety glass at approximately the 10 o'clock position. Cover for CRT neck is munched, but could be straightened out. Chassis is completely untested. Has been in storage some 15 years or more. This is an uncommonly found set, and would be worthy of restoration and preservation. Because of the size of the set, it must be picked up in San Diego, CA, or you must arrange pick-up and shipping from here. I am unable to pack and ship this item on my own. I would be happy to work with your shipper to coordinate pick-up and access. Any questions please feel free to ask. Thank you for your interest in this auction. In God We Trust!"

He listed the set here a few months ago....I guess he did not like my offer (or any others if he got any) enough to accept....

it would be a nice set to have , but right from start with shipping and his asking price ,he probably won't come down much on .that set going to be a money pit no matter how you look at it .hope someone near him can save it ,cut out the shipping cost.

Smashed CRT? Tack on $500 for a replacement right from the start of the resto, and you haven’t even bought any capacitors or tested the flyback yet. lol

No opinion about the price, but that's an interesting set. The ETF website has an article with some details:

Too bad about the busted CRT. Can you substitute a glass CRT as I did with my CTC-4?

Looks like a real light colored screen on it now. Maybe it has a subsitute glass CRT in it now. :scratch2:

He needs to add a picture with the back off, and in good lighting.

Some sellers relist the item and never bother to improve the listing.
I'm sure someone E-mailed the seller and suggested that!
