1969 Admiral 25" color console

2 Attachment(s)
I picked this up thinking I wanted to part it out for the CRT. But now I'm thinking it's too nice a set to part out. The CRT is developing the green halo, but it tests strong on all 3 guns. It's missing the HO tube (and it's a 6KD6 which I don't seem to have in my tube stash).

$50 or trade for a good 25" or 23V color CRT

PICK UP ONLY

Wow, that's a nice looking one. Maybe my favorite I've seen. Too far away but I'll save the picture. :thmbsp:

$40 for the Admiral?

I'm already planning on moving 11 console TVs and 3 console stereos with me, so I'm going to part this one out for the CRT if no one takes it.

I also still got a Zenith 12" b/w and some table radios for sale in this thread: http://videokarma.org/showthread.php?t=269184

Well maybe if you weren't so darn far away...

Looks like an H12 chassis, a little easier on FBT's because of the shunt regulator. :thmbsp:

That set is too nice and rare to part out. I hope someone can give it a good home. 👍

I agree, that is a fine example of what used to be seen often, not anymore. I restored a few '68-9 Admirals back in the day and really miss them. But please don't part it out. I have a few rectangular sets and a 23V CRT from a Zenith CCII Id trade you but I'm far way too!~

Is that one that's new enough not to have the bonded safety glass? If it is, it's just what I'm looking for. As long as it's got good emission on all 3 guns and no scratches on the face, and you do want to do that trade, I might be able to drive out there later in August.

Yes its from a 1978 Zenith CCII 23VCMP22, and was pretty low hours. I was saving it for my 1971 CC console 23V, it has 14 years on its 23VATP22, which is got the halo

It's too late for me to make the trip out there from Lansing, as I'm moving next week. But I'm thinking after all this moving mess is over, I can probably haul the Admiral from WI to PA later in August if you do want to swap for that CRT. I put a 23VCMP22 in a 1968 25" Zenith console I had, and it had an amazing picture, among the best I've seen. I sold that TV last year and kind of regretted it. Now that I have this 1970 25" SC600 Zenith console with a bad CRT, I'd really like to put a 23VCMP22 in it too.

Of all the cities I've lived in, I liked Memphis the best and I'm always talking about visiting there, and Mississippi isn't that much farther. While I doubt I'd have time for 2 long tv stuff gathering trips in August, I've been thinking about driving down there in December or sometime in the first 1/2 of next year. If I do I'll let you know. I always seem to be in need of 25" / 23V and 25V color CRTs. … As much as I like that CTC-9 kenbridge I got from you, I'm not looking forward to moving it, it weighs about as much as a hippo, or a Buick Electra 225...

If that Admiral makes it to Wisconsin you can probably pawn it off on me....If you plan to scrap it before then, please save the chassis.

I've got a big remote Admiral with what appears to be the same chassis....Mine had a bad CRT which was hiding an intermittent focus issue (the focus winding on the fly has been overheating and melting the tar off the side of the fly).
