. A Pioneer LaserDisc Video Camcorder.

Cool but I can think of one reason it would never work.

The Gyroscopic forces on a 12" disc spinning at 1800 RPM is tremendous, you wouldn't be able to turn the Camera easily and the disc would bend and flex or come unclamped all together.
You can verify this by trying to move a LD Player while it's operating, all hell breaks loose!

Only practical use is for security cam:D or steady cam

^ Aw, you beat me to the punch(line) on that last one. ;) (Steadicam anyone?)

There were pro-sumer LD recorders, but I don't think the folks who made them ever built a camera in to them.

Plus, you cannot get 60 minutes of video onto one side of a CAV disc, and an S-video output is a step down, not a step up on a Laser Disc machine. :)

:lmao: Why not get a Fisher-Price PXL-2000 and be done with it! :lmao:

I'd LOVE one of those Fischer Price "audio cassette" video systems....just to play with and make some artsy thing. I wouldn't even need their little included TV set (I have nearly FIFTY similar sets).

STILL kicking myself because I DIDN'T get that one I saw at a Junque Shoppe about 20 yrs ago...IIRC, it still had the box, & the little TV...

Well, fellas, there's at least one PXL-2000 up for auction on ePay right now!
