WTB: GE B&W Portable TV 1968 ish

I'm looking for a particular GE plastic portable TV that was normally either black or silver colouring. This has a gold sticker on the rear saying something like Chassis 15SF

I am willing to pay $100 and up depending on condition, plus shipping

I have several GE sets around here but your description is so vague. is it color or black and white? How big is the screen. Does it need to work? How big is it?

I think it's a 15" hybrid model. IIRC the SF chassis has a solid state audio, plus maybe other circuits. I'd have to look at my 12sf model.
Like a lot of that GE stuff, it's interesting design. :scratch2:

With that bounty, one is bound to come out of the woodwork. Probably a lot of color choices, if it's like most portable sets of that era. My eyes are open...wish I had it to sell!

I looked my 12" yesterday. Mine's the super-deluxe one, with the walnut grain finish. They're pretty good performers.

Hi guys, Thanks for the replies. Sorry i am so late getting back to this forum i didn't get an email notification. Anyways, the TV i am looking for is a Black & White 15" vacuum tube B/W. The make and modle is: GE Adventurer II, General Electric Model Number SF3101BK 15 SF Chassis,

Or i can use a SF3102VYE 15 SE Chassis. Or also the Panasonic WV-5410
monitor will do, it's a 15"

The TVs are late 60's early 70's black&white units that were using
vaccuum tubes.

Thanks again guys, Happy new year,

Braido...

I'll keep looking...

Is it safe to say that any 15" bw from that era might work? That was kind of an odd size; I suspect Admiral made one. Philco made a 17"

Braido 01-03-2013 12:57 AM

Thanks guys, i appreciate your help.

I have a GE, simular to what he's looking for, but it's solid state.
I picked it up for the power cord. Looks like it was outside for awhile, but seems to work.

That sounds like he is looking for the TV set used in the Computer Space game. These particular TVs have been sought by game restorers for many years now, and usually go for big bucks on eBay.
