Greetings all, finally

Hi,
Hello everybody, been a member here since May 2009, so now I think it's time to introduce myself.:D
Some members here already know me, but anyway my name is André.
I've been reading some of your posts on and off, and fine them quite informative. The forum that interest me the most are old radios.
I don't have any at the moment, but I've been on the look-out since a while.

Junk shops-i.e. "Antique Shoppes" are a good, but sometimes expensive place to find old radios. Yard sale season is another place, especially in older parts of towns. Spread the word around to family, co-workers & friends-you never know what might turn up ! Pretty soon, they'll start findin' YOU !

Thanks for the info. I think when yards sale season start, I'll be cruising the road, you never know. On the other hand, if they start finding me, the wife will get nervous. At the moment I've speakers that keeps finding me, and if I've old radios doing the same, she'll think I've lost it.:D

Old radios are INSIDIOUS....You'll find a forlorn looking example in an Aunty-Kue shop somewhere, it'll start "Talkin'" to you, then you'll see another one that wants to come home & keep the 1st one company, then a 3rd one, 'cause its SO "Cuuuuuuute...", first thing you know, there'll be one or more perched on every available flat surface...An' STEAM comin' outta the "War Dept's" ears... (grin)
