Back in the day...
I had a bunch of old broadcast gear- switchers, 3DO's. Most of it got recycled, and some went to Kamakiri.
I had a friend who passed away not too long ago, that had a warehouse full of gear from the 50's & 60's. I mean stacked floor to ceiling with paths to go through the rooms. The things people collect... |

Truly too much to know what all he had. Not sure what has happened to it since he passed. If I find out, I'll post here...

I got to see all the equipment from W6XAH, which is stored in a barn in Bakersfield, CA. W6XAH broadcast from 1932 to 1935 and was Bakersfield's first t.v. station. I thought the gear got scrapped a few years ago but I have since found out it's still there. Too far away for me now to do anything with, though I have some papers and things related to the station.

It's a shame that you can't get pictures of the old equipment, it would be a sight to see.. Like stepping back in time.

A lot of the stuff that Justen gave me I donated to the Church, as they had productions that were going on, and needed the fresnel lighting.
Still have that big VCR thingy and some of the other stuff :) |
