It's sitting in my truck out in the driveway. Sorry for blurry pic. Darkness was falling as I pulled in.

Congratulations! Real glad to see another one safe and sound. I really like this part of VK-we can "find" sets without having to store them all!

damen 02-08-2011 09:51 PM

Sorry, no glamor pics tonight. All of my helpers are AWOL and it's too late to phone a snooty neighbor for aid. No way can I unload that whale alone without breaking something.

It's a 7, dark cabinet, nice shape. I think the style may be called Pensbury.

A little devil on my shoulder told me to sneak out there with an extension cord & variac and fire it up where it sits, but that would be Just. So. Wrong. :nono:

Another great find. Now how come I can't find a nice narrow cabinet style like that around here? :scratch2: Congratulations, and I hope you can get some sleep tonight. :thmbsp:

[edit] I just noticed you didn't have much headroom left in the van.

Much too heavy to unload by yourself, drive it down here and I'll help you unload it. :D

To celebrate getting it out of the truck, I hauled out my trusty old panther lamp.

CRT looks promising.

Lucky for me that some dolt lost the cap to this fuseholder. That'll help keep the little devils at bay.

It's tempting to go farther, but there's no room on the workbench, so this guy will have to rest under a blanket for a while.
