Bob,

Your CTC-9 images are stunning. The 40's era Technicolor musical "State Fair" is a great choice to show off your set. Images from my CT-100 and CTC-5 are on my web site below.

Hi, and here are two recent screenshots from my 1956 RCA CTC-5. Note that the 21AXP22 is not as contrast-rich as the later picture tubes.

Hi Steve;

I was wondering if anyone (except for me) would recognize the film that my screen shots were taken from.....you've got a good eye and apparently a good knowledge of the Hollywood Classics. I LOVE those old Technicolor films, the colors just seem to jump off the screen at you.

Thanks for the compliment and as always your web site remains an excellent example and reference source of information about the RCA CT-100 and CTC-5.

Eckhard...I think your CTC-5 screen shots look terrific!

WoW! Those sets look stunning!! Much brighter raster and than I have, But im sure it's all due to the intellegence level of testing and repairing the malfunctioning circuits, as I dont have really any test equipment besides a tube tester... But my hats off to you!! If only my darn CRT tester would show up! lol

Here are some pics I had saved on the computer. CTC-5, 11, 15 & a couple pics of a T1000 Admiral.

That CTC-15 in the cherry French Provincial cabinet looks great. It is a pleasure to see so many working roundies. One common thing I have noticed is that when properly restored, they are nearly all capable of a great picture. Whoever thinks roundies don't have good picture quality has never seen one properly set up. Once i got my Zenith working, it completely put me off of modern sets, even flat panels.

What could be better than owning a roundie??? Having 2 roundies!!!! Those sets are amazing! Did you guys replace all the caps in the sets or just the critical ones? I might need to replace the paper caps on the IF to clean up the smearing in the color ion my set...
Congrats on those sets!

Roundies have amazing color rendition. I can honestly say that you guys have some of the cleanest, nicest roundie sets I've ever seen.
Brian, I love that Admiral, truly a beauty.
