My poor attempt at recreating a 1960 scene:

:) Keep the ballerina , loose the phone .
Why do I say this ? , as one who lived through the 1960s as a VERY electronics interested young man , I can tell you with all certainty that no house I was ever in had the phone sitting on the TV like that . The ballerina , sure , , , , , , and a set of rabbit ears (UHF converter too ;) ) with perhaps some other favorite keepsake , but never the phone . :D PS , I love the TV , , and , I always thought those "futuristic" phones were just flat out Butt ugly :butt1: |
I have that exact phone... Always thought they were cool but every one I came across was a C-note... until I found one for $5.

What was the brand/name of that odd looking phone?

Here in Brazil it was also known as the "JK telephone" because, since it was too modern, the people associated it with President Juscelino Kubitschek, who was a very modern and dynamic leader:

The console in question is a Philips, made in Brasil.
The cabinet style is a little different to the european versions, which differs from european country to european country, too. Regards, TV-Collector :stupid: |
