I went to one of the last electronic-supply stores here in the San Francisco Bay Area last weekend, and they had a few blank Super VHS tapes in stock, so I bought two of them just in case I want to play with VCRs again any time soon.

They also had two BCT-30MA Betacam SP blank tapes that will work in my ED Beta VCR, so I bought those too.

Fun near-antique technology!

War Games (1983/1996 release)
Pink Floyd in Concert - Delicate Sound of Thunder (1987/1989 release)
Cheech and Chong - Up In Smoke (1978/1997 release)
Macross II (episodes 1 to 6 on 3 cassettes) (1993) (big anime fan here)
Mad Max (1979/1988 release) - “Superior Quality Duplication - Less than .5 dB signal loss; THD (at -10 dB) less than .20 dB” - According to Vestron Video/Orion Pictures; the labelling made it sound like a big deal :music:

4 Maxell ST-62BQ S-VHS Professional cassettes, new old stock.
4 Sony L-750 Betamax cassettes (newer wide window version), new old stock.

Sanyo VCR 7250 Super Beta HiFi ; and it actually works perfect :)

I last ordered a movie on ebay and it hasnt come :(

It was "CHRISTMAS CAROL" (1951) -- It said it was shipped on 27 sept!!

I keep asking my dad if he asked for a refund yet........


What happens to stuff that "gets lost" -- Its out there somewhere with an addrress on it.... HOW CAN IT GET LOST?? (Unless its purposely stolen)

I found this movie NOS at Goodwill one time (it was still in its original shrink wrap) and it was a colorized version! :yes: :D

I've got the same Macross video tape you're talking about, except I've only got one of the 3 tapes from that set. I've also got Bubblegum Crisis on VHS (the whole series) that a friend of mine gave me years ago when I was first getting into anime. :thmbsp:

I wouldn't give up yet. Depending how it was mailed, bulk media rate or whatever, it might still show up.

I sure hope so!!!!!

The big box of VHS tapes I ordered from Colarado last year didnt ever show.... I dont know what happend to them!! (Neither does anyone else)
