Roundie on a vintage ad

I'm guessing it is an RCA...

CTC-10 or 11. That candy is still on the market. And it's still too good for kids LOL.

That ad looks very (badly) photoshopped.
The TV and decor were ancient by 1977. Montalban was a rich man who drove Cordoba's up to his mountain top estate, where I'd assume he had a nice Space Command Chromacolor II waiting. Why all the quotes around "adopted", "father", etc? You don't call attention to an adopted child in such a manner. ...and Montalban was married to one woman for 60+ years, also her first marriage. |
From the look on Sly's face, I'd say he's had one to many Toffifay candy bars. LOL
I wonder if that set was available in a rich, Corinthian leather wrapped cabinet? All in all, a really ignorant ad. |
Smiles everyone, smiles!*

Ricardo Montalban's bio lists four children, two female and two male: Laura, Anita, Victor and Mark; and none named Sylvester. If the photo were not labeled "Ricardo and Sylvester Montalban," the family terms in quotes could refer to a child actor that performed with him. Very strange.

So kill you parents and eat their candy? At least not in 1977. I also don't think Time magazine was putting their name on every page like that in that era. I'm calling fake. Weird thing to fake, but fake. What's the source of the ad? |
