FS: Motorola 21CT2 Consolette

6 Attachment(s)
I'm offering a Motorola 21CT2 Color TV Consolette. The set has a blonde finish cabinet, and the legs are included. Unfortunately, the CRT is necked, but it had a brightener on it so it may have been DOA anyway. Please see the pictures attached. Cabinet is in decent shape, but chassis is completely untested. Has been in storage some 15 years or more. Asking best offer. Set must be picked up in San Diego, CA, or you must arrange pick-up and shipping from here. Any questions please feel free to ask. Please PM any offers. Thanks!

Nope. This uses chassis TS-905 which was designed from the ground up for the 21AXP22A.

FWIW radio63,
I managed to get the equivalent of $1200 for mine with a gassy tube and gave Bob G. $1000 for it. They aren't easy to find...

Thanks, same here. Though between the difference in condition between the near perfect example Ben had (which sat on ebay with BIN or 'make offer' for some time before it sold) and this one, as well as some higher priority purchases I'm likely to make soon (2nd collector car and smartphone), my offer is not nearly as high as what Ben posted.

If someone wants to try and top my offer on this set, I've got no complaints...More power to them....That might even be saving me from being broke when the next gem pops up in a week or two. :D

Tom,
You're right, mine was in much nicer shape. I think this blondie will ultimately sell for substantially less than a grand. It took a while to find someone to trade mine to, but it happened. It's very hard to sell a 21 incher with a dud tube...

To me, a 21" set is more desirable than a 19" or a 15" set is that a 21" glass crt can be installed!
I'm well aware that it isn't pure, but it's better to have a working set than another non-working display. :thmbsp:

Thanks for the good information on value of this set. I know it's a rare unit. Even with a broken CRT, it's a desirable model.

On the other hand, I paid $35 for mine, semi working, but it was missing the legs and had a 21CYP22 installed.

And that was in the late 80s as well.
