The Sony Trinitron Standby LED Codes

I was wondering if anyone here could provide me with a link to the list of codes and what they mean, and, as a plus, what to check in the circuit? Our main TV set, a KV-32HS250(?) has just stopped working. I get alternating four flashes and seven flashes on the set. (That is, four flashes until I turn it off, then seven flashes when I turn it back on, then off again and it's back to four flashes, and so on.)

4 flashes is loss of vertical deflection. Check IC561 for 12 volts at pin one.

7 blinks = Horizontal Deflection Stopped.
Horizontal Deflection Stopped Occurs when either:
1) a +B overcurrent is detected (IC5007), or
2) overheating is detected (Thermistor TH5002)

I searched the web and this is what I got. You should get a service manual.

Thanks for the info. Yes, a service manual would be excellent; I'll look around!
