Kinoscope Machines

So I've been watching a lot of old TV game shows that were very clearly recorded using a Kinoscope machine, but my question is, how did they capture them so good? I see no visible scanline from the CRT that they were filmed off of, nothing, it just looks good.

If you could see scan lines, you would see an even more visible moire pattern from the mismatch of the scan lines on the film and the scan lines of the telecine that converted it back to video. So, they had to carefully control the spot size so that there were no lines recorded on the film. Some kinescope (note spelling) recorders added spot wobble (high frequency up and down) to fuzz out the lines on the CRT face and make them invisible.

Spot wobble, I wonder how similar to the vertical moire reduction that my Sony Trinitron monitor has is. It does visually removed scanlines, but creates a weird horizontal dot interlacing effect (so hard to describe and I'm sure I'm using the wrong terms).
