First off I have NEVER seen an Andrea TV in a lifetime ( 40+ yrs ) in
the TV biz. That was the Boston area.
I looked in a paper 2001 SAMS index & none of them are that new.
Listed sets, quit a few, were probably B&W. If anyone has older SAMS
index they used to indicate which was B&W or color. Other than that
the cabinet shown looks very high end. If you find any Andrea colors
they will probably share chassii
BTW you may try the historic soc. for the city they were built.
It can be a gold mine of info.

Thanks, Yes, quite unique. The speakers were in the black pedestal column below the larger upper cabinet, which was walnut, with tambour doors. Tuner and other controls were motorized with push buttons, hidden under the top right side which slid open. It could be rotated about 270 degrees. This was only a TV, with vacuum tube video circuitry and a solid state audio board. There was another model called "The Theatre in the round", which included a high end stereo in a drawer, opposite the TV. Round cabinet, larger, etc.. I'll try the history angle.

Shouldn't this be in "Rectangular Screen Tube Televisions"?

If you remember the model or chassis number you can use that to look up the Sam's photofact service manual for it....If you have access to a Sam's library you can comb through every photofact issued for Andrea in the 5 years surrounding it's production to find it. Most makers had one console color chassis and stuck it in dozens of different cabinets so the odds of your cabinet being the Sam's cover photo cabinet are low.
