Lurking behind that Admiral console on the left is a Pye W101 (you can just see the top of it). I've just finished a full resto on one of them (see my avatar). There's also a Thorn Atlas 17" on the shelf at the back. I restored one of them as a teenager many years ago. I repaired a few of those Admirals also. I hated the printed boards they had cause you couldn't get access to the print side of them for servicing with the set running. They had these weird radial PCB mounted paper caps as I recall.

Actually that console is a Kreisler not an Admiral. They has similar tube masks.

Were the Admirals made in 'straya? Or did they come all the way from Chicago?

There was a notation on the backs of the late 50's, early 60's Admirals, stating all the different countries they were built, Australia being one. :scratch2:
The place looks like a second-hand TV store. The console on the left bottom, looks to be the most modern.

This is a 1960's key ring promoting the Brazilian made Admirals.

The Australian Admirals were recognizable by the channel and volume knobs at the very top left and right of the cabinet. The channel knob has a long springy shaft which felt quite odd when changing channels. Made a real "clunk clunk" sound too. Lazy techs would snap off the pcb mount paper caps and tack solder a new on across the exposed leads. They were a bit of a beast to work on. Worked well enough when given the right treatment as I recall.
