Adam West (Batman) Passed Away

Adam West from the 60's Batman series passed away at 88. I grew up during that time, and remember watching the show every week. When I was in grade school in the mid 60's, I was Batman at recess. Had a cape and everything...

Also....IMHO...the Batmobile from the TV series was far and away the coolest of the Batmobiles...way better than any of the movie versions.

Yeah, he made the best Batman ever. I was bummed when I found out he passed away, now who am I going to vote for the mayor of Quohog now? (Family Guy)

Best Batman of all times. The movie versions are too dark for me.

Always SEEMED to be a nice guy to me. I think he was VERY aware of his fan base, & I don't remember him ever having even a hint of scandal.

Adam was the BEST! Rest in peace dear friend and crime fighter.

Good question... he was like Fitzy for the US. Sure Fitzy didn't roll around in toxic waste, but he did stick his tongue in a fan on a bet.

For sure. Campy is key.

One of my favorite episodes was that two-parter with the original Mr. Freeze. He talked so funny.

We have already seen icy pavements in July.
Shivers! It must be.

Mr. Freeze strikes again.
He's after big ice cubes.
He cooled the guard.
He gave everybody the slip.
Will the real Batman please stand up.
Curses! Foiled again! But wait! A new clue.
A princess in distress.
The dynamic duo to the rescue.
Blow hot! Blow cold.
Horrors! Frozen stiff.
But wait.
The most chilling is yet to come.

And tell airplane to go zoom zoom zoom.

I remember watching Batman in primetime, "in color" on a CTC-15.
RIP Adam West

Batman didn't even need a color set, he knew how to get his B&W sets to display color. Considering all the gadgets in the Batcave I'm not surprised.

And Quahog RI will need a new mayor on Family guy....

There was a recent animated movie called Batman the return of the caped crusaders , Adam west , Burt ward and Julie newmar did the voices , it is well worth getting if you liked the original show.
There was supposed to be a second with William shat as two face then I hear Adam west died and thought well it would have been nice to have a second movie , well he knew he was going to pass away so he recorded all his lines for this second movie .
Also wanted to ad I've methim a couple times and he was a nice guy , very genuine
