Hi...I've acquired a 1949 DuMont RA-105 from my office building and I'm trying to figure out how to sell it or - if it has no value - give it away. I don't know a thing about vintage TVs / turntables / radios / etc. I have alot of hobbies, just not this one! It's in good shape...the top of the case could be refinished and I'm in Chicago. Anyone have any ideas?

That is a nice set and top of the line for Dumont in 1949. It sports Phono, AM, FM and TV with a push-pull audio output amp. The problem with consoles and what makes most of them less attractive to folks is their size. In my opinion, It may possibly fetch $40 - $100, depending on cabinet and crt condition and, if someone local was interested in it. This set uses an uncommon 15" round picture tube and it is very difficult to find a replacement if the one in the set is no good. I hope you have success in finding it a new home.

I thought they used a 19AP4 metal/glass tube. Or is that the 109's?

Probably the RA-109. The RA-105 Colony uses a 15AP4 all glass CRT. The only sub is a 15DP4.
