We've seen a lot of sets based on the good old 15GP22, including some prototypes, but I have never even heard of a set using the CBS 15HP22. Does anyone have one, or know of one? Did they have the same reliability problems as the 15GP22? From what I've read the 15HP22 was the first color CRT to have the phosphor applied directly on the inside of the screen instead of on a flat piece of glass, but it was otherwise identical to the 15GP22..

I have seen pictures of 15HP22 CRTs, but I'm wondering if there are any complete sets known to exist? Even a CT100 modified to work with one would be interesting. Did CBS ever build any sets that used it, or was it strictly a lab test CRT that never made it to production?

Andy,
As Eric points out, John Folsom has in his collection a CBS production model RX90 color receiver, employing the 15HP22 tube.
I believe Steve McVoy also has one of these sets in his collection sans picture tube. I'm betting Steve won't rest until he has located a 15HP. Maybe some one knows of another manufacturer that used the 15HP22.
