I just watched this on DVD. Now I need someone to explain it to me... and give me back the 2 hours I just wasted :wtf:

Why was this a hit?

BTW - Ann-Margaret has to be the sexiest red-head who ever lived :naughty:.

As I remember it was a flop as a movie, but a great album by the who. I didnt like the soundtrack from the movie , But I love the Who's original album.

Right. The original album is a classic. The movie and associated soundtrack is crapola.

I like the Tommy movie soundtrack ONLY for Ann Margarets vocals.

FWIW....the sound quality of the CD is lousy compared to the old vynil record set I had years ago. I don't know why this is...but since the soundtrack has not many fans here I guess it's a moot point!

Just be glad you never saw the stage production of Tommy that I saw back in the early seventies. Talk about a suck fest.David

I have the Laserdisc!!!!

....and yes, except for a few shining moments (Monroe sequence, PBW sequence) it's embarrasing.
