Just acquired a Beltron 2972 Picture tube testing/ restoring system. The problem is that at the top where it says red/green/blue gun test, and 'heater voltage' there are empty spaces w/ wires for each empty socket just hanging. Were these sockets or Meters? I saw an older one on ebay with meters in these spots. Where can I obtain meters to work with these voltages?

Theyre meters. Somewhere I think I have a schematic that was meant to "clone" a Beltron. I'll dig a little tonight and see if I can find it. Maybe the meter movement sensitivity is listed.

iirc the store has half or so of a beltron with the meters.
maybe take 2 and make a good one?
i will ask the owner tomorrow.should be cheap.

I had a buddie that hooked up a older beltron to a in line crt. He blew the neck right off when he gave it a bolt on high setting. I never laughed so hard in my life.
He was not happy, It belong to a customer. {Be careful with it}

Yeah, you have control - up to a point. When you let go the button go, it keeps blasting until things cool off. moderation is the key here.

I use a Beltron as well. I like the fact that I can adjust the heater voltages and just let the tubes cook. I only rejuvenate as a very last resort.

Thanks. I didnt use it yet but I'll exercise caution and try it on an otherwise junk set first. The problem though is that I just realized that the voltage control is missing, also, so I have to get one.

There's no other restorer even close to the Beltron. Good luck on the rebuild.

The meters are: (1) 0-100ma DC (2) 0-1ma DC (3) 0-1ma DC (4) 0-1ma DC (5) 0-15v AC.

The voltage control is a little less obvious. These are bad xeroxes of hand drawn schematics, and there are some inconsistencies.The only likely suspect on the parts list is a "25 ohm 1 amp ohmite".
