Today is the 63rd anniversary of the first World Series game to be broadcast in color (1955), on NBC of course.

Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to see if there were any newspaper ads to come and see it at TV dealers. :)

This will be fun to share with a friend who played in that series. I know he started for the Yankees at 1B in game 5.

His name is Eddie Robinson and he’s still going strong at 97.

How about $395 for a CT100, long discontinued by World Series time, 1955.
