One is sk1w50, has someone infos on it?

Many thanks

use this link to look up semi's

I think what you are working on is in the US a PVM monitor.
Yours may be close to a PVM1200, that may help you.
There are many on this list with experience with them.
Good Luck

I thought the model number looked like the PAL version of the KV1200 series.
We had to use the 12" screen size because of our laws, but the rest of the world didn't!

Yup dieseljeep correct. I was going by the power supply.
I dont remember that one !
BTW your English is very good !

Here it is
It looks identical to the KV1212 I had.
Never had a problem with the power supply, but it had bad 'lytics in the PC corrector, where it was distorting the picture on the right. The vertical lines in the picture were curving to the right.
I sold it when the CRT was showing it's age.

In my set circuit breaker S902 trips (opens) immediately
But i had no time to check components, right now I.m only in studying
Service manual and schematics.
I will let you know news as soon i will have

Hi dear all,
Power supply is a buck converter not insulated.
I.m not so familiar with circuit of kick start circuit used in this set
In particular functions of part with d603 C603 d602 and q601
Can you help me in understanding?
Thanks

Does this set use an SCR for horz output ?
Or separate HV & sweep outputs ?
Or just one transistor ?
If SCR usually it shorts & blows the power supply. VERY
hard to fix, either bad drive or load in the HV. If you
dont find everything thats bad will blow again.

Cant help with circuit, schematic too blurry.

The KV1212 uses the 2SC267 transistors in the HV sweep circuits.
The circuit is a little tricky and it used selected components. You generally had to use genuine Sony replacements which were hard to get, even years ago. They generally failed when the horiz driver transformer connections needed resoldering.
They also used those transistors in the power supply. :sigh:

Your English is fine, terminology a little different.
The term "buck converter, not insulated" is an auto-transformer, one 240 volt winding, tapped at 120 volts, as the set was designed for 100/120 volt Japanese/US mains and is being used in 230/240 volt countries.

Never had problems with the 2 output sets, just electrolytics.
SG sets we refused to do so I only did a few for some VERY good customers.
Even when I worked for Sony I didnt do them. Other problem is Sony
would use a totally different chassis in the same model ##. Had to go
by the serial ## or SCC chassis ##.
IIRC on the KV1710 some had a different supply using a second SG-613.
What a dog & cost $$$$$$ to fix.
BTW wernt they 2SC867 ?

Right-on! 2SC867. It's been ages.
I remember the chassis differences. I have several Sonys in my collection.
I think I have a KV1710 that I think is going to be scrapped.
I had a little grief with a SG-613 set. When repaired, it lasted around 15 months. When it failed again, I told the customer, "forget it"! :thumbsdn:
