A friend of mine has this Admiral console. He says 1949. Can anyone tell me the TV chassis?

IIRC there were a few different similar looking ones from that time. Why not ask him to look up the model/chassis on the inside sticker if your curious?

Well, i haven't seen that exact model before. I'm thinking is from the 20 chassis family. Those are the ones with two chassis. One for the power supply and audio amp, the other everything else.

Possibly it could be the older 30 chassis family as it has a rounded rectangular mask rather than the "double D" shown in the Sams.

Admiral stopped using that control layout in 1950. I'm pretty darn sure that's a round CRT.

The CRT looks like a 12BP4 and the record changer looks like a two speed 33/78 unit, so it's probably a 1949 model.
I scrapped three of those for the radios and amps in the later 50's. Two of those were 10" sets converted to use 14CP4's. :scratch2:

Your right, I went out into my garage and looked at my console with the 20V1 and noticed the control layout was newer. I have a small table top with a 20X1 that has the older control layout and a D-D mask.
I looked in my basement at a 20B1 chassis, that uses a 12LP4 and has the same control as the set Zenith26kc20 posted.
