View Full Version : Various places to Metro-Detroit
benman94 06-18-2017, 12:34 PM Hello all,
I'm looking to get the following items moved back to Metro-Detroit, or to some intermediate location:
21AXP22A from central California
Viewtone cabinet from Syosset, New York
7 inch Transvision kit from Syosset, New York
24 inch Westinghouse console from Sullivan, Missouri
A 15 inch tabletop set (the Chinese set) from Great Mills, Maryland
If anyone could help get these moving, I'd greatly appreciate it.
miniman82 06-18-2017, 02:32 PM Great Mills! :D
Also, someone get an AXP from anywhere to here! lol
benman94 06-18-2017, 05:13 PM For being so drugged up after surgery, I'm pretty damn proud of myself for getting it that close... :stupid:
Kamakiri 06-19-2017, 07:44 AM Bout the best I could offer would be tentatively a ride back to Buffalo from the fall Kutztown meet......
benman94 06-19-2017, 08:43 PM Tim,
Would it be alright if I had the Transvision kit and Viewtone cabinet sent up to Buffalo to hang out with the Poliniaks for a little while? I'm planning on going to the fall ETF meet, and perhaps to Jamestown, NY to the I Love Lucy museum before the beginning of September. PM me or shoot me a message on FB.
-Ben
Kamakiri 06-20-2017, 06:47 AM Absolutely :)
Electronic M 06-20-2017, 09:43 AM Are they going to have a fall ETF meet again this year?
benman94 06-20-2017, 10:16 AM Yes, it was discussed at the museum membership meeting Sunday morning during the convention.
Electronic M 06-20-2017, 10:53 AM Sweet!
Kamakiri 06-20-2017, 12:51 PM What was the date? Hopefully not the week of fall Kutztown, because I'm definitely going to Kutztown this year :)
benman94 08-14-2017, 10:13 AM Bump, still need all the above sets moved. The 24 inch Westy and the stuff on Long Island is the most urgent.
Findm-Keepm 08-14-2017, 02:46 PM Have you asked over on A-K? Their pony express subforum moves a lot of audio gear.
Someone could get a van, and set up a transfer service catering to audiophiles and us V-K'ers and probably make money.....something like a Mercedes van, lots of padded racks and straps, and a East-to-West-then-back-East regularly scheduled route, with a few "ad-hoc" off-the-beaten-path periods in between. Small enough where no CDL is required, discrete/no markings on the van, and room to bring a helper/companion.
Ok, I wrote the business plan, now one of youse youngins' get busy......:D
Crist Rigott 08-31-2017, 02:07 PM Tim,
I'll get the 24" Westinghouse in Sullivan to ya in November.
benman94 08-31-2017, 03:26 PM Thanks Crist, I appreciate you moving the Westy for me. I'll get you contact information for Sean, the seller.
The Chinese cabinet set Nick has offered to get to Hilliard next year. I won't be attending the convention anymore, but we can meet somewhere in Hilliard/Columbus to make that final swap.
That just leaves the 21AXP22 for my Motorola 21CT2M and the stuff out on Long Island.
benman94 02-04-2018, 10:42 AM I need to get the 21AXP22A moved from Sacramento yet. Justin has been extremely patient with me regarding it, but unfortunately, Sacramento-Detroit doesn't seem to be a common route for uShippers.
All of the other stuff is either here in Michigan, or in the case of the 15 inch Federal set, has a ride to the convention.
