Back in the early mid-1960's the family got an RCA B&W Combo that did yeoman's service for many years. The television died but the cabinet was in mint shape and we continued to use it for the radio/phono. Sadly in the late 1980's it was abandoned.

I can't remember the model, but there were no television controls on the front of the cabinet, the radio and television controls were all contained together in one of the cabinet top compartments. The closest model I can find is the New Vista and I'm wondering if ours was just a variation of that model.

Here's the only surviving picture, and the console is partially obscured by my aunt and cousin:

If anybody can identify the model it would be greatly appreciated.

One note, at that time RCA used the New Vista name on all of their TV sets.

Under-lid controls were kind of a Magnavox thing. If it were me I guess I'd try to find Magnavox advertising material of the early-to-mid 60s and try to spot those tall-looking legs.

Some RCA combos had under lid controls. I've seen one such set in person.

Here's an early 60's RCA B&W combo similar to the one in your picture. Look familiar?

Bezel's a bit different, but pretty damn close.
