Tonight on the local evening news they did a report about somewhere in the US (can't remember where exactly) someone had brought into an electronics recycling center a 1980s vintage RCA Console TV that when they went to open it up to gut it out they found an old lockbox inside the set and inside that lockbox was $100k. So then the electronics recycling center called the guy up who dropped off the TV and told him what they found and then gave him back the money.

Just thought I'd post this interesting story here since it did involve an old RCA Rectangular Screen TV.

Sounds very similar to the find in Canada.

That story you posted from youtube looks exactly like the one I saw on the local news except that they didn't say anything about it being in Canada or anything and there were several difference in between the video in the Youtube clip you showed and the one that was on the local evening news (besides the TV Network logos) like the video was edited heavily and like I said they didn't mention anything about the incident happening in Canada, they said it was somewhere in the US, but like I said I can't recall where it was exactly... :scratch2:

That guy was lucky. In Israel a nephew or son of an ealdery woman bought her a mattress and dumped the old one... but the woman had hidden a large sum of money isnide it... I don't know if the she recovered the money.

I dream of the day when I buy a car full of drug money.

A friend of mine bought a lot of office supplies from an estate auction. There was an old calculator box stuffed with a roll of cash. It was only like $300, but still, it was a score, hehe...
